As a higher education institution, our primary mission is to serve and support our students in their pursuits.  We look forward to assisting you with your health-related research needs and invite you to explore our resources and services.

Study space is accessible 24/7 for UNTHSC students, faculty, staff and guest members only. A valid/current UNTHSC badge is required for entry. Otherwise, the library remains closed to visitors. 

Lewis Library provides in-person services Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Electronic resources are accessible 24/7 for HSC students, faculty, and staff. Guest members can access online resources 24/7, but only when in the library building and connected to the Guest WIFI network.

Lost & Found

A lost and found bin is located in the badge-accessible, Self-Service Checkout Area on the library main floor.

  • Lost and found items are emptied the first working Monday of the month or when the bin reaches maximum capacity. All items will be donated.
  • Perishable items such as food and liquid should be disposed prior to placement in the bin.
  • Unhygienic items should be thrown away and not placed in the bin.
  • Any items with personal identification information will not be placed in the bin and an attempt will be made to contact the owner. 
  • High-value items (like technology, wallets, jewelry, etc.) are held in the LIB-222 (817-735-2465) until the end of the day and then taken to HSC Police Department (817-735-2210) for safekeeping.

Parking

There are a variety of options on campus for parking including day and month passes and metered parking. Lewis Library is located near public transportation with a bus stop for the Route 2 and Dash on Trinity Metro.
